Black Rubber Castors

Black Rubber Castors are one of the most popular Castor Wheels within the Industrial & Manufacturing Industry. They are competitively priced, offer Low Noise properties, and are extremely durable. The Wheels are manufactured from Industrial Grade Natural Rubber or SBR (Styrene-Butadiene) Rubber with a Hardness of between 80-90 Shore A, these Rubber Castors are designed to provide a degree of flexibility to allow travel along semi-rough flooring such as Warehouse Floors, Pavements and Roads, and can travel over small obstacles with ease. The Rubber Wheels wear much like a car tyre, however as they produced as solid rubber wheels, considerable wear can occur before replacement of the Castor or Wheel is needed.

As with all Rubber Castors, a reasonable level of vibration and shock absorptionis provided due to the flexibility of the Rubber. However if Vibration or Shock are of primary interest, Bulldog Castors™ offer a range of high performance Shock and Vibration Castors which can isolate up to 90% of Vibration.

These Black Rubber Castors are the typical choice for Industrial Applications. The Raw Rubber Compound isformulated from Carbon Black (which gives the wheel its black colour). This Carbon Black is known as a re-enforcing filler, which considerably increases the Tensile Strength and Wear Resistanceof the Rubber Castor Wheel. In addition, the rubber can accommodate temperatures between -30ᵒC to +80ᵒC. The rubber is suitable for use where water is present, and can also accommodate cleaning chemicals such as Ammonia used in all-purpose cleaners.

Black Rubber Castors are the best choice for Industrial Applications where no special requirements are needed, such as Non Marking Rubber Castors, or Oil & Fuel Resistant Castors. Its hould be noted that whilst other castor types are available, the Black RubberCastor is a good “all-rounder” offering excellent mechanical properties at an economical price, and other types of Rubber Castors (for example Non-marking) should only be used where necessary.

As with all Castors and Wheels, the larger the Wheel diameter the lower the roll resistance, which reduced the force needed to move the equipment.
